Even though it is officially spring, the heat has already begun here in the tropics. Although relatively mild, we all need to be aware that the mozzies, fleas and ticks are out and about. If you havent got a regular flea and tick regime there is no better time to start one than now.

Heartworm is a nasty parasite with terrible outcomes for your pets. There are a number of new and easy applied flea and tick preventions on the market now too. From odourless collars to drops on their neck all are easy and effective. Speak to your vet or trusted pet store about what is the best form of protection for you and your lifestyle.
If your pups are like mine they have a sensitive skin so I need to test any new products before I use them. Shampoos and conditioners are my biggest worry, I can only use a very mild brand. This makes finding a suitable flea and tick product difficult for me. I consult my vet regulary, but I am happy to any suggestions you may have.
