Well they are eight weeks old this week and are getting their first set of needles and the biggest needle of all their microchip!
They are eating a variety of foods now so looks like the fussy eaters are not so fussy anymore. They have frequent small meals throughout the day with bowls of dry dog food and water available at all times. They still feed from mum when ever she gets near them so when they see her, the chase is on. After her!
I have a secure fenced area for them to run in outside and they love being there. They happily play and integrate with the other dogs in this area and the grandkids are always available for some puppy playtime. They get tired quickly and after an hour or so we have to put them in their little beds for nap time. They are so exhuasted they fall asleep almost immediately.
They have most of their teeth now , which are extremely sharp, so they have some rawhide treats to chew on.
I have place a number of diffrent textures around the yard and house for their feet to get used to. At first they did not like the grass but they soon discovered the long strands made excellect tug-o-war toys and the games began.
They have had to have a few baths now. As the rough and tumble games became stronger, they seemed to get rather dirty.
Buddy loves to play tug-o-war with my socks and Luna loves hide and seek with her sister Sally. They all three love the ball and rolling in the dirt with it.
Luna will always find a way out of her enclosure to follow one of us, she hates to be alone. Here she is sitting happily at my feet watching the rest of the pups at play.
