We can all breath a sigh of relief as the days are cooling off. The oppressive heat now in a slumber giving us all a small reprieve. However, with the onset of winter comes a myraid of airborne allergens. If your little ones are anything like mine they may be experiencing hayfeverish symptoms.
Maggie is one of those, she has been sneezing and has now developed a wheeze in her chest so off to the vet we went. As there has been an outbreak of Kennel Cough in our area, I wasnt going to take any chances.
Thankfully our vet has diagnosed her with allergies due to the change in weather, but we have got her on a dose of antibiotics just in case, she is pretty run down so dont want to push our luck.
Little Lady Tazmin has been suffering too and has developed a very bad ear infection. She now has ear drops twice a day and ear wash twice a week. So our house has two very sad little dogs.
This is all just a reminder to make sure our little fur babies are cared for during these cooler months. Jumpers are out and extra blankets are in their beddings in an effort to stave off any other cold related illnesses. We are fortunate in that our temps are not extreme but if we are feeling the cold there is no reason to believe our pets are not.
