Well the little ones are 6 weeks old now. They are very mobile and showing their own personalities. We have found forever homes for all 3 too. Their new parents have named them Buddy, Luna and Sally.
Little Buddy even comes when you call his name. They all love playing with a ball and chasing mum and dad around the yard.
Luna does not like to be alone or in the fenced area She will cry until lifted out to join us.
Sally is such a darling following everyone around and playing happiliy on her own or with her siblings.
We have wormed them 3 times already and will be microchipped and will have had their first set of vaccinations at 8 weeks of age. As they are very little dogs they will have to be at least ten weeks old before they can go to their forever homes. 2 of them are going interstate so will be 12 weeks old before they will be sent to their new parents. I am enjoying them and giving lots of cuddles until that time when I have to send them away. (sniff) It is always a heartbreaking experience so am taking full advantage whilst I can.
They are having solid food now with Maggie weaning them to just one or two feeds a day. Usually early in the morning and last thing at night before she herself goes to bed. I have been mixing wet and dry puppy food and mashing it all together to make a soft porridge for them They love it, but not when I add the puppy milk, preferring the genuine milk from mum. We are learning their likes and dislikes already. Each pup is also showing a preference. Sally is not keen on plain biscuits prefering more meaty porridge. Buddy will happily eat everything and Luna likes an even mix of meat and biscuits. They are growing and gaining weight, with our vet pleased with their progress.
